How does a Fractional Fibroblast Lift and tightening treatment work?
The Lifting column is attached to the handpiece, where a tiny, plasmatic flash is produced in the tip of the column as coming in contact with the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip, on the skin and evaporates, leaving micro carbon dots superficial tiny sized brown spots that look like freckles. These small points draw the skin together in their direct environment, using skin’s natural healing process.
We follow a specific pattern to set the points that look like a grid (reduction grid). The number of points and their arrangement are equalised to the surplus skin and the skin is significantly streamlined!
The extremely accurate handheld device works by utilising the gases in the air between its tip to form a plasma charge. A small electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The heat produced by the column has an additional benefit to reactivate collagen and elastin fibres which support tissues to plump, retract and tighten, giving our skin a more youthful-look.
Fibroblast is the only cosmetic treatment to use plasma to reduce the volume of excess skin. Low risk, minimal downtime and more affordable than surgery. Fibroblast is well known for its success with Non-Surgical Eye Lifts/blepharoplasty, Tummy Tightening, Neck Tightening and much more.
What to expect during the treatment?
As the treatment progresses over your chosen area you may feel mild zaps as the arcs reach from the applicator tip to the skin. The treatment length varies based on the area treated.
Following the treatment, you can expect swelling, redness and small brown spots known as carbon crusts. These will scab over the next few days with the scabs expected to fall off by day 7. It is imperative that you follow the provided aftercare protocol and do not pick at the carbon crusts

How long does the treatment take?
Fractional Fibroblast is mild to moderately uncomfortable. Everyone's pain level is different and some areas of the body are more sensitive than others. Numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce discomfort during treatment.
Actual treatment takes approximately 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the area to be treated, also we need to allow time for the topical anaesthetic to work and consent forms to be completed. Cooling masks can be applied to minimise the heat sensation afterwards as well. A session can last a maximum time of 1.5 hours with instantly visible results.
What after-effects can be expected and what after care is advised?
Immediately after the procedure, the area will feel hot like sunburn. The treated area will be quite red and mildly swollen. This can last from half an hour to a day. A cooling mask can be used to minimise the heat sensation, however, for better results, it is not advisable to cool the area. The small dots will appear the next day and will dry to become small crusts. These crusts must not under any circumstances be picked or scratched off, they must be left to fall off on their own which can take anywhere from 5-7 days, which is quicker than a surgical lift or even a TCI peel.
The dots can be covered with a mineral foundation or a concealer. Suitable aftercare products must be used to help the healing process and SPF 50 must be worn at all times. Absolutely no sun exposure for the area without a hat or umbrella for the first week.
How long will the Fractional Fibroblast Lift results last?
Typically 2-5 years, which is subject to the number of treatments you may require, your lifestyle and ageing process speed. You will age as you would otherwise but your skin will continue to look great through the ageing process. The effects should last as long as they could with invasive surgery and also depending on the area treated. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the best results will be seen after 4 - 12 weeks. A second treatment may be required for best results and may vary due to skin's laxity.
Fractional Fibroblast technology works by stimulating skin contraction and shortening and tightening the skin fibres while stimulating collagen. This results in the reduction of the loose skin and plumping simultaneously. Using an electrical spark to heat tiny columns of the skin, skin fibres are shrunk and collagen improvement occurs.
Additional Fractional side’s warming effect with fibroblast, adds depth to reach the effect to deeper layers of the skin to give longer lasting results.
